We are a group of rescuers who have come together for the purpose of saving the lives of animals on death row. Many of these animals come from over-crowded, high-kill/gassing facilities in the USA, while others are rescued from life and death situations locally. Without assistance the vast majority of death row animals are euthanized within 48 hours of arriving at the shelter.

"PLEASE HELP US" - WE HAVE HAD MINIMAL RESPONSE! We are in desperate need of funds at this time as we have some wonderful animals that require vetting that goes beyond the basics. The beautiful pup pictured below has been receiving much needed medical care and as a result our resources are depleted. A chihuahua is in need of surgery to correct her knee joints. We are praying that those who are able to do so will help us. We will be forced to cease rescue efforts without help.
"Dixie Fund Needs Donations " The Dixie Fund is a very special fund to all of us at 1atatime Rescue. All monies donated are used to assist special needs animals, seniors, and those needing extended medical treatment. We have a couple of seniors needing dental work and a tiny girl needing eye surgery to repair her tear duct. . Please consider helping, every little bit helps. Tax receipts will be given. All donations over $20.00 will also receive a 1atatime Rescue Limited Edition T-shirt. Please let us know the size you would like when you send your donation.

Special Placement Program: We offer assistance to seniors and others who are concerned for their pets due to personal illness.
