More About Gretel

ADOPTED! This petite little girl is Gretel. She is intelligent, responsive and VERY energetic. Gretel uses that energy playing with her giant indestructible ball. She will be one year old in January 2008 and is still learning about what being a GSD is all about, and boy does she learn quickly with positive direction!

Gretel did come to us from an unfortunate situation where she was purchased from a pet store by inexperienced owners and given no direction and no socialization. As a result there are times when her excitement gets the better of her. Since coming into rescue she has learned to walk on a loose leash (most of the time), to sit for things she wants like treats or to go through a door, to get into her crate when it is time and to down when asked. Gretel is also working on not jumping up and remembering that kitties are not self-propelled squeaky toys.

We feel Gretel deserves the type of person who has prior GSD experience, the patience and desire to teach an adolescent GSD and thoroughly enjoys the intensity of an intelligent, energetic, loyal and responsive German Shepherd companion. She will give back to you 10 fold what attention you give to her.

Gretel is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
