Corgi, Chihuahua [Mix]

Introducing CHAUNCEY
He is a male Corgi /Chihuahua mix. He is approx. 4 to 5 y/o and 25lbs and 12” at his shoulders. He is not as big as his pictures make him look. A comparative size would be a large but tall standard Dachshund. He came to us as a very shy and confused boy. He would duck if you raised your hand and hide if you raised your voice and could not understand why anyone would want to pet him. He would cower down when tried to pick him up. Chauncey is now starting to enjoy getting attention and sometimes insists on it. He is spoiling fast and loving it. He is an incredibly sweet and handsome guy and now loves to be loved on, sit in the chair with you and get tummy rubs. His personality is has blossomed and you can see it in his face and eyes. He has gone from being afraid to look at you to a heart breaking look for attention and giving kisses and is soft and cuddly. He picked up on the dog door right away and eats and sleeps in his create like a gentleman. He is ok on a leash after he gets over the excitement of going. Want a sweetheart? Chauncey is the one!!

Adoption donation for Chaucey is $125.00

Adoption donations must be made by Cash or Money Order. Sorry but we can no longer accept Personal Checks.

We prefer to adopt our rescues to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the Tampa Bay and Central Florida area.

We do not Transport our Pets Out of State.

We do not adopt to homes with unaltered pets unless otherwise approved.

Visitor info

As we have no shelter building, visits are by appointment only for specific dog with completed and approved application. All rescued dogs are fostered in a private home in the Tampa Bay area.

FYI-Our Vetting Policies:
Our dogs are fully vetted, including but not limited to: tested for heartworms ,(and treated if they are positive) and parasites, altered, teeth cleaned & pulled when necessary, wormed, given all shots, which includes rabies, 7-way & Bordatella. They are on heartworm prevention and receive Advantage or Frontline Plus on a monthly basis. All known medical issues are addressed prior to placement. Our rescued kids are professionally groomed according to their breed standards on intake and when required thereafter.

As with all our dogs, the first part of the adoption process is to complete and return an application. Before doing so we ask that you read the section titled:"Adopting a Friend" on our home page. Veterinary references are checked and we do require a Home Visit by a rescue representative in your area. Adoption Application is available on our home page.
