Labrador Retriever [Mix]

Hi, my name is Sam, short for Samantha. My story is not a happy one, but I've noticed things are getting better. My owner took me to the vets office (for the first time in a very long time) because he wanted to have me euthanized. He and his wife didn't want me any more, even though I had been with them since I was a puppy. Luck was on my side, though. The vet called Pay It Forward, and they came to my rescue! I am now spayed, up-to-date on shots, and heartworm negative. I have sores on my back flanks that the vet thinks may be from lying in my own feces. But, I'm getting medicine and they are getting better everyday. I'm loving life in my new foster home. I sleep in the big bed and have claimed the futon as my own. I don't mind the other dogs, but I try to referee when their play gets rough. I bark when I need to go outside and pick up the water dish if it's empty!
