More About Nikita

Hi, my name is Nikita

I'm an 8 year old gal and real sweet!

My parents have found themselves in a situation where they cannot keep me after 8 years so I need a place to relax in my golden years.

Here's an update from my Foster Mom:

If people knew this dog, they would definitely want her.

The only reason I'm not adopting her is because having my own dog limits the amount of fostering I can do. I am personally committed to saving as many dogs as I can by keeping my house open as a foster home.

The benefits of an older dog:

She loves to play with a ball and chase a laser pointer.

She comes when she's called.

She's clean in the house.

She's not destructive in any way (except with the odd stuffed animal).

She loves to go for walks but is also content to curl up
beside you on the couch while you watch TV.

She gets so excited to see you when you come home from being away but NEVER EVER jumps up on you all she does is wag her whole body.

She takes treats so gently from your hand that a child can safely give her small cookies and she would never grab anything that is not offered to her.

She really doesn't require a lot of exercise but if you are an active person, she'll be more than willing to go for a nice long walk with you.

The only problem with her is that she wags her tail so hard, it could knock a young child over or bruise your shins.

She follows me all over the house and settles in whatever room I'm in.

I would encourage anyone who is looking for a true companion to give this little girl a chance. She'll really touch your life.

Some conditions apply:

-must be allowed on your furniture

-must be able to sleep on your bed (preferably under the covers)
