This is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest, most precious, affectionate dogs we've ever rescued. Angel Baby is absolutely the only way to describe this amazing girl. She will spoon with you, and curl up with you on the couch. She is dainty and polite and very well mannered. It is just heartbreaking that a sweet, older dog like this is homeless with no future. We will try to be positive and hope someone out there wants to give her a safehaven to retire in. That someone will see that a dog like this just needs someone to love and someone to love her back in her golden years. We thought this precious dog was around 5 years old, but now we think more like 8-10 yrs, so we've named her Mrs. Robinson. Her nickname is Cupcake. She has few teeth left, and what is left need is rotted and she needs a major dental and several extractions in addition to some lumps removed on her breasts and a spay. She acts as lively and young as any 2 yr old dog.
I'm a sweet girl that just wants to be held. I'm very gentle and will ever so gently raise up on your leg and rest my head on your knee and just let you hug me. I LOVE to be held and cradled. I think and act like the happiest place to be is in someone's lap or arms. All dogs adore me. I like other dogs. I love a dog bed. I belonged to an older lady, who couldn't keep me, she gave me to another older lady, who tried to keep me, but didn't have an adequate fence . . . so here I am . . . seriously lost without a lap, an owner, and someone to love. I like to curl up with you when you take a nap on the couch. I never make any trouble. I do whatever is asked of me. I am very good. I need you. I'm waiting for you. Please give me that chance. I'm very happy and very lucky to be in a foster home now, but I still dream of having my very own permanent home with humans to love. I'm approx. 8-10 yrs old, which makes me a senior pet, but if you meet me you will see that there is nothing "old" about me. I deserve a chance. $100 adoption fee. MidSouth Animal Rescue League is a 501c3, non-profit organization that relies on the kindness, generosity, and financial support of people like you. We are a group of dedicated volunteers who respond to animals in need in shelters, humane societies, strays, and individuals. We receive no federal or state funds and are supported solely by private donations.

Many of the animals we save are in need of special medical care or surgery to bring them back to health before they can be placed. Veterinary care, vaccinations, tests, x-rays, medications, spay and neutering, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, worming, food, kennels, grooming, and other supplies are provided for each dog.

We can't save their lives and give these animals a second chance at a new life, without your support. There is no minimum or maximum donation and making a donation is easy.

When your donation is received, your name (or anonymous, if you prefer), will be placed on this website by the picture of the dog that you have chosen to help. There is no limit to the number of animals that can have sponsors, so please do not feel that you cannot help if a particular animal already has support.
