More About Dillinger

October 1, 2007 Dillinger was abandoned when his owners moved. He was unneutered so spent a year on the streets doing what tom cats love best - scrapping. As time passed and his suffering made more obvious by a visible abcess he was finally rescued. After the abcess healed it was noticed that his gait was off and there was some sensitivity with his mouth. Xrays were done. He had had 3 fractures (one involving his spine) which had healed on their own outdoors, 2/3 of a hip joint missing, several teeth broken and arthritis in his front legs. He has recovered nicely but because of the arthritis has lost a bit of fur as a result of the excess grooming of the tender areas. The fur growing back now that he is on an inexpensive anti-inflammatory medication. Originally he exhibited a bit of displaced aggression but it is lessening as time goes along and will probably be non-existent in a home of his own with a normal number of feline inhabitants, not the numbers that are in his foster home. He is extraordinarily affectionate and will carry on a conversation with you. Because of his fragile structure.....no dogs or children please.
