More About Nikki&Tiger-help

History: Many years ago, Tiger and Nikki were rescued as strays in Memphis, Tennessee. Nikki was just under a year old. Tiger was a young dog, too. The senior couple that found Nikki and Tiger decided to keep both of them.

Present: Nikki and Tiger were unbelievably happy and all was well in their world until about 3 weeks ago when their mom and dad had to be put into assisted living. Dad (87 yo) has Alzheimer's and Mom (85 yo) has arthritis. Dad and mom can no longer live alone and take care of themselves and their dogs.

Tiger is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, heartworm free) and is about 5 years old. He is a Shep Mix. He is shy but not aggressive. Tiger was mom's favorite.

Nikki is 9 years old. She was dad's favorite. She and dad would sit for hours under the tree in the backyard. They have a strong bond and Nikki is grieving for him.

Tiger and Nikki need a home ASAP. They are currently living outside and being fed and watered.......... until the house sells. When the house sells, they will have no place to go but the shelter.

IDEAL HOME would be one with an elderly couple. Tiger and Nikki are great alarm dogs but won't bite. They have lived their lives as wonderful family pets and we are praying for a miracle - that they can find another loving home that will love them until their time comes to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Just to show you how well mannered they both are. Both Nikki and Tiger have ALWAYS been house dogs. This has been extremely stressful for them to suddenly be put outside in this 100 degree heat but they have no choice (notice in the photos they are under the porch, laying in the sand to stay cool). Their time is limited. Please spread the word!!!
