More About 8 Babies
There are 8 beautiful baby kittens in dire need of a permanent home. A very kind lady who works for the City of Charlotte Zoning Department was in a dangerous community for work in late Spring and found 2 litters of kittens and 3 momma cats living under a house. The former "owners" of the 3 mom cats are 85 and 91 years old and the lady is on oxygen and her doctor told her to "get rid of the cats" so she put them outside (unspayed). Of course, as life works, they all got pregnant. Thankfully, this kind lady found them and started coming daily to feed them as the owners were not even doing that at that point. They were starving to death when she found them. Over the past 8 weeks, she has brought home all 8 kittens and 3 mom cats. Another litter was born, but only 1 survived and she is a solid white 3 week old kitten now.
This kind family who rescued all the cats is keeping the 1 ten-year old mom cat, but there are 2 other mom cats in need of a home including the solid white mom cat with blue eyes. Her name is Aqua. There is a beautiful, petite brown tabby named Skinny Bones who is also highly adoptable. Both moms will be spayed. The babies have all been deflead and dewormed and will get their 1st set of shots.
The family that took them in has 16 of their own cats (inside/outside) and are financially unable to pay for much more than they already have: flea medication, dewormer, antibiotics (they were all sickly when found, but are healthy now), and their 1st set of shots. The SPCA will be getting the moms fixed.
If you can open your heart and home to adopting one of these moms or babies, please let us know. The adoption fee will go to this family and will help cover the cost of shots as well as the spay/neuter.
