More About Jimmy

Jim-Jiminy, Jim-Jiminy, Jim-Jim Jerou . . .

Died 3/23/09

This funny, cuddly boy really throws himself physically into everything he does, just like Capt. James T. Kirk. Our Jim is a long-legged, long-tailed, short-haired, sweet-tempered, mitted orange and white Tabby with tan/coppery colored eyes. He was born to a feral mother about May 10, 2007, and has been with his siblings in human care being socialized since June 2007.

Jim-Jim is a real lap cat now, will hop right in and want to cuddle or wrestle with you. He has a purr you can hear across the room and likes to climb up your back, grab your head with both hands, nibble your hair and, purring all the while, put his snout in your ear with his whiskers and puffy little breaths tickling like crazy (it's pretty darn fun!). He also loves toys and chasing little balls, and wrestling with you or his sister Brenda. He's quite fastidious, too; he'll clean himself, then clean his sister (see video), and he'll go in the litterbox when she's done just to make sure everything is well covered.

Jiminy's been neutered, given his Distemper combo vaccinations, but tested positive for Feline Leukemia. He's been on a treatment protocol since he was a few months old and hasn't had a sick day in his first year. He may never manifest FeLeuk symptoms but it's better to have him as an only pet or with other cats who are also FeLeuk+. Because we can't guarantee he'll stay healthy, Jimmy's adoption fee is just $50. Adopt him with his FeLeuk+ sister Brenda and add just $35 more.

If you're interested in adopting, please read our home page for more information and email rsq@iphouse.com or call 651-644-3890 (anytime between 9am and 9pm) to have us send you a copy of our Adoption Contract and Application and set up an appointment to meet Jimmy in his Cottage Grove foster home. As with all Stray Feral Rescue cats, we will not allow him to be declawed or let loose outdoors.

Thanks for considering a homeless pet!
