More About Jeannie

UPDATE JUNE 17, 2009 Sadly, Jeannie has lost her only remaining human parent. Jim passed away this week and there is nobody left who can keep Jeannie in their family. Please give her a chance! UPDATE DECEMBER 2008 Jeannie spent the last year and a half in a very wonderful adoptive home with a kind lady named Gloria who was patient and loving with Jeannie. Unfortunately Gloria recently passed away from cancer. The rest of the family is spread out, and due to a house fire, they are still rebuilding from last year. So Jeannie is looking for a new home. Jeannie was spoiled and has become very affectionate, demanding to hop in a lap or interrupting while on the computer. She would love to be the only cat in your home so she can monopolize your love! Jeannie came from a backyard near the wharf in Eastern Passage, She had a litter of kittens in summer 2006, and all 3 were rescued here. As part of the Spay and Neuter Day event that I spearheaded on Feb. 27/07, Jeannie was spayed and has recovered nicely, Now she is waiting for someone to come adopt her, so she can have plenty of affection. Since being spayed, she is reliving her kitten hood! She is very demanding for rubs, if she sees me rubbing another cat she will rush over and butt in! She loves to play and chase toys. She does tend to get aggressive, nipping at your hand for more attention, but I am teaching her the difference between play and love. Due to her behaviour, I feel it would be best if Jeannie went to a home without any very young children.
