More About Mickey-man

Updated 5/18/09 - Mickey was a stray at the local animal control. He came in wearing a red collar, so he was someones friend. No one came to claim him. When his time was up he came to up to find a new home.

Mickey, The Mickster, The Mickey Man, what a personality this boy has. He is quite the character. Very opinionated and not afraid to tell you all about it. So if you are looking for a good friend to talk to, Mickey would be more than happy to not only listen, but respond.

Mickey is a lover boy. He loves to be cuddled on your lap. He has a great motor. He needs two handed lovin' and just pushes himself against you. He's a kneady boy and a bit of a drooler. He absolutely adores being loved.

Mickey is a real bully with other kitties. He's a 12 pounder, so he's a bigger guy. He constantly is in attack mode with other kitties and will bite HARD. Mickey would prefer a home without other cats.. Mickey is also a bit of a bully with dogs. He likes them, but he also likes to "kitty box" them. He will thump them on the head if he is so inclined. He would do fine with a canine, they would just need to be able to stand up to the Mickey-man. He would probably be too much for a small or timid dog.

Mickey is very playful. He loves any and all toys. He LOVES scratching posts and climbs them like a champion. He is known for getting the crazy "zoomies" and sometimes he's just gotta run. Mickey does sometimes give love bites while playing. He would do best in a home without children under the age of 5. Mickey is around 3-5 years old.

Mickey has a few "issues". Bags or containers of litter that are open and unattended will be scattered if Mickey has his way. He loves to jump in there and kick stuff out. Paper towel rolls are also not safe if left alone with Mickey. He attacks and tears them up with gusto. He LOVES to destroy them. Silly boy. So he can be a little naughty at times, but he is also incredibly cute while he's doing it. :)

Mickey loves to be brushed. Uses the litterbox like a champion. He doesn't particularly care for having his nails clipped, but will tolerate it in small doses or if he is really nappy.

Mickey tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, is neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies) and has been treated for internal/external parasites. His adoption fee is $80.
