Beagle

Freckles is a sweet senior Beagle girl who was surrendered by her owner to a shelter in Mississippi. While we were expecting a very slow and senior-acting beagle when we saved this 12-year-old girl from the shelter, we have been pleasantly surprised by her youthfulness. She walks around her foster home exploring as if she were much younger. She is calm, though, and very polite.

She does not mind cats or other dogs, and is fine with children. She appears to be fully housetrained, and responds to to the commands 'sit' and 'down'. She loves to go for rides in the car. She is about 15 inches tall at her shoulders, and weighs 32 pounds.

Freckles needs a place to live out her days where she will be safe and not have to worry about being taken back to a shelter. While our normal adoption process applies, Freckles adoption fee will be waived due to her age. Freckles will be a hidden gem to the family who truly appreciates the special warmth and love of an older dog.
