More About *Bowie* - ADOPTED

My name is Bowie. I weigh 85 pounds and to the best of my knowledge I could be a Shepherd and Retriever mix. Sometimes I think I am so lucky because I have 3 foster moms that love me. They say it's because I am such a happy, affectionate guy. They love the way I'm always excited to see them, always ready to go for a walk or a ride in the car. We sometimes play tag or tug o' war with my rope toy. I have a special talent that is quite admired in both the doggie world and the human world. I not only love to have you throw a ball for me to chase, but I can catch it in mid-air!! I am a very good athlete, but my athletic skills and exuberant energy might be too much for a child. An adult home would probably be best for me. (Adults can throw the ball a lot longer than kids anyway).

Sometimes my foster moms and I just sit quietly while they pet me and talk to me. I'm 4 years old now so I don't have to be doing something all the time like I did when I was a puppy. I am an educated dog, I know commands such as sit, shake, and I am housetrained of course. I like to be with people mostly, and I don't mind some girl dogs, but I don't get along with other boy dogs. And I don't like Cats!! Period.

For the moment, I am very happy here with my temporary moms, but I long to find my new permanent home, with my own human(s). Even though my foster moms love me, they can't keep me forever. If they did, they could not save other dogs like myself who are on death row at the shelters. My moms tell me they are certain there is someone out there looking for someone just like me to love and share their life with. They tell me there ALWAYS is, and that very soon my future family will come and take me home with them. I trust my foster moms so I know my new family will be here soon.
