More About TROOPER

This is "Trooper"... He is an adult (1 1/2 year old), neutered male, Pit Bull, that is in search of a good home!!! He was brought to a clinic to be euthanized, and instead was rescued! I met him the next day, and upon entering his cage, he ran to the back of his pen. Standing there shaking, he looked up with his big brown eyes and urinated on himself... so scared of the change in his life and the loss of his long time friend who was put to sleep due to serious health problems. On the second day, he recognized me, but still kept his eyes on me, careful not to get too close. On day three, he began to show interest in me, and became curious of the things I was doing around him. I talked to him with every passing, and moved very slow towards him when entering his pen. When offering him treats, he would back away, but always ate it when I wasn't looking:) I began going in his pen more, loving on him and just spending time with him. By day 4, he wouldn't run away from me at all. When I arrive now, he greets me at his door while twisting circles in excitement, and even takes treats from my hand. He may be very shy at first meeting you... but with love and a little extra time... watch this shy boy turn into the biggest lap puppy that greets you with his gorgeous smiles, fast wagging tail, and big wet kisses! He's excellent at walking on a leash... doesn't pull you around even though he's more than capable of doing so... I don't recommend him going to a home with small children, only because we don't know his history. He seems to be social, but if you are considering adding him to a family, i recommed bringing them along to meet him. If you (or anyone you may know) are intersted in loving him, or just simply have questions that may lead to him finding a good home... please call the Park Hill Pet Clinic in North Little Rock, AR @ (501)758-7387 or you are welcome to drop in anytime Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-noon. Thank you for taking the time to learn about "Trooper"... hopefully, together, we can have him home for the holidays!!! ...
