Redbone Coonhound, Hound [Mix]

Kelly is a sleek, beautiful, loving girl with a wonderful personality. She's sweet and playful and loves attention, hugs and walks.
Kelly loves every person she meets and doesn't seem to be very interested in cats. She gets along well with most dogs, but if another dog acts aggressive with her, she doesn't back down. And she's a very big girl! She's very strong, and walks well on a harness, but is a handful to walk on a regular collar. Of course, part fo that is because she's a young, healthy girl who needs more exercise than we can give her in a shelter environment.
Kelly is not housetrained, but she does well in a crate, and I'm sure she could be taught housetraining very quickly. She's intelligent and eager to learn - she's just never had the opportunity to find out what having a home and person of her own is like. Kelly's ideal home would be with an active person who doesn't mind spending some time exercising and training her. She'd probably do best with a fenced yard, and maybe another friendly dog to play with. Kelly is about 3 years old.

Our $50.00 adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, and basic vaccinations. Since we give our own vaccinations, your local laws may require you to have the rabies vaccination re-administered by a licensed veterinarian. If a puppy or kitten is too young to be fixed before it is adopted, the shelter will pay for the surgery when the pet is old enough. All of our dogs are tested for heartworm and receive heartworm preventative. All of our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV.
