More About Peter

Date of birth: 5/03

7/15/09: Peter is a handsome B&W cat with big round gold eyes and a shorthair coat. He's a real sweet guy and he gets along well with other cats. He is 6 years old.

Peter has been at our shelter for a very long time. When we first met him, he'd been left at our doorstep in a box. His face was all scratched up and swollen and his ears looked raw. We determined that he had a food allergy and put him on a diet of Science Diet ZD formula. That cleared him up and he's been fine ever since. He'll need to stay on allergy food, and it can be purchased from your veterinarian or from our clinic. He can live with other cats as long as they are fed separately or the other cats eat ZD, too.

Peter has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for FIV and feline leukemia. We'd love to find this sweet guy a good home soon.

MORE ON ADOPTING OUR CATS...

> Please visit our Petfinder home page or our web site at hsgkc.org for more information about our adoption process. An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. You can download a pet adoption application from our web site and then fax or email it back to us.

> All of our cats and kittens have been tested for FIV and feline leukemia and vaccinated before they are posted on Petfinder. They will be spayed or neutered and microchipped before going home, including kittens. If you adopt a kitten who is too young to have received all three kitten boosters and/or the first rabies vaccination, you may bring your kitten to us when they're due and we'll give those vaccinations at no extra charge. Please visit our web site for our adoption fees and all that's included.

> Take advantage of our ADOPT-A-BUDDY program! Adopt two cats or kittens together at a greatly reduced adoption fee. It's a win-win-win-- the felines get a friend to play with, you save some money, and we get to place more cats and kittens in good homes!
