More About Molly

MOLLY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
HERE'S WHAT HER ADOPTER HAS TO SAY:

Molly is really coming along. She would still prefer not to be "snuck up on", but who wouldn't? She's opened up quite a bit allowing us all to give her kisses and scratch her belly. On Fourth of July, she literally slept on top of us. She's a fixture in the neighborhood -- everyone knows and loves her and we get comments all the time about her progress. She's not a huge fan of the dog park so we don't go there very often, and she's still not crazy for the car so we don't often go on a lot of long rides. But around the house and out on the sidewalks she's a superstar with a cold, wet nose for everybody.

She's "tree'd" a squirrel or two, and from time to time shows interest in a cat but generally seems happy not to have to hunt or track. A true city girl caught in a country girl's body!!

We even got her a fancy new collar to let her know how beautiful and important she is. It's quite stunning and we thought you'd like to see a picture.

Thanks again for hooking us up with this great girl.

Molly's Original Petfinder Listing
Molly - Black and Tan Coonhound - young (1-2 years) - 55 pounds - short/smooth coat

There is a twinkle in Molly's soft brown eyes, and a sweet curiousity about her; although she is a trifle shy, she is always engaged. She has a very wondering nature, and we often see Molly with her head cocked, studying and considering something that has caught her attention.

Molly is lovely, without a doubt one of the loveliest dogs we have ever met, and her nature has a quiet depth and gentleness that are very endearing.

Molly takes profound joy in small moments. Much like a happily satisfied child who has found a warm lap on which to drape, Molly savors all the simple wonders at hand in her foster home - a dog bed, a spot in the sun, or a perch on her favorite chair - with grateful contentment. She bounds about when she is outdoors, taking immense satisfaction in the fact that she towers above the smaller dogs in her foster home and can outstrip them in two strides. Indoors, she snuggles into one of their tiny beds like a funny giant among Lilliputians.

Molly's ears are velvety and long, her eye contact is soft and open. She is a very beautiful creature, and her shyness in new situations always gives over to her great curiousity, and a natural inclination to be an integral part of things of interest. Her tail beats happily and vigorously. Although riding in a car is not Molly's favorite pastime, she has accepted that it is sometimes a necessity.

Molly's house manners are gracious and accommodating. She is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and is respectful of all items in the home. She shares her foster home with other dogs and cats, and whether she is joining in on their antics, or simply regarding them from a calm and comfortable supine position, her attitude is one of kindness, tolerance, and immense pleasure in being included.

Molly is possessed of great depth, gentle strength, and untold heart.
