Jack Russell Terrier (Parson Russell Terrier), Schipperke [Mix]

Pooh is our pet of the month now - He is a real sweetie and one of the smartest dogs we have met. Pooh is the largest of the JRT/Schipperkee mixes we got from Austin Humane Society back in 2002 - . And he only weighs 25 pounds. Pooh used to be called Fopah. We did not think he was a mistake so we changed his name to Pooh. He is all black with a docked tail.He has a white chest and some white on his paws Sometimes - He is still a little skittish. He likes to play and he will toss his toy in the air and then chase it and play with himself as well as with the other dogs He loves to let us know when someone is coming up the driveway and to the gate. He is a very good watch dog and is alert to all who enter the yard. He knows how to use the doggie door when he wants to go potty. He walks well on the leash. He has lots of potential for the right person who likes these very smart little dogs. UPDATE - POOH has a new forever home in Austin with a wonderful family who loves him dearly - He has adjusted well and he will have a great life in his new forever home.
