More About Buttercup &Thumper

This is Buttercup & Thumper. They are a wonderful pair of neutered boys, although we were mistakenly informed Buttercup was a female when he came into our rescue. Buttercup was adopted as a single back in August 2004 to join Thumper and his family, but allergies found them both homeless in August 2006, so they came back to us together, and have never been separated. Thumper is very curious and does not mind being held once he feels comforable with you. Buttercup prefers to stay on the ground. Both are a bit shy at first, until they warm up to you. Both are very Pet-able on the ground. They are awsome with using their litterbox . They are waiting for someone to choose them, to want them, a family of their own. Thumper can be a bit bossy at times - and will box around, you just have to know how to approach him.. Thumper will approach for you to pet him.

An approved adoption application and donation are required for adoption. Indoor homes only. E-mail us for an application to get the process started. Applications are processed in the order they are received.

WHY BONDED PAIRS ARE MORE THAN JUST TWICE THE FUN! Many of the inquiries we receive are from people who are looking to find a friend for a bunny that they currently have. If you are considering adding a rabbit to your family for the first time, and have a feeling that you may want to add another one some time down the road, you may want to adopt a pair. Bonded pairs are already bonded! The bonding process can be a lot of work and you need to have lots of patience. Rabbits are very social animals, but they can also be very territorial. We always prepare our adopters that some rabbits may never bond and you must be prepared for the chance that you may have two "single" rabbits instead of a pair. But rabbits that have already been through the bonding process are just waiting to find a home - together! Please consider them. They are often times overlooked because people feel that they do not want to take on the extra work of another rabbit in the beginning. But there is really not much more work and they keep each other company and entertained. One cage, one litterbox (in most cases), one water bottle and one food crock. Just twice the fun! They really are double the pleasure and fun!

Our adoption fees never cover the cost of our medical bills, so we need your help. If you would like to help and contribute towards our vet bills, you can do so by mailing to PO Box 462, Maple Shade, NJ 08052, or contribute through paypal below. Donations of any amount are appreciated.

Buttercup & Thumper are in a foster home in Burlington County, NJ.

Buttercup &Thumper is house trained and spayed/neutered.
