JOE - UPDATE JULY 2007 - Wonderful older male found stray with his best friend Penny back in 2006

• Joe was found stray and taken to the pound. After their time was up and they were unclaimed by their owner, GSP Rescue was called to prevent them from being needlessly euthanized as their temperaments were wonderful. NOTE!! Joe refuses to have accidents!!



• After his bath to wash the filth from him, Joe ended up being a bright ticked male, good bone, handsome and very, very sweet.



• He was taken straight from the pound to the vet's for all shots including rabies, bordetella, frontline, heartworm preventive (he is heartworm, Lyme and erlichiosis negative), neuter, and worming. His ears have healed hematomas due to allergies.



• Joe is extremely friendly and quite proud being the official office greeter!



• Joe is older - about 8 yo - the perfect companion to someone looking for a mature, loving friend. Please consider Joe the Man!!


• Joe is in foster care very close to Washington, SW PA, and he'd love to meet and fall in love with you just as he knows you'll fall in love with him!! :)

Although GSP Rescue PA's registered address is in Pittsburgh PA, there are volunteers, foster homes and needy German Shorthaired Pointers throughout the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - we are a statewide rescue program dedicated to assisting the German Shorthaired Pointers that need to be rehomed. The GSPs are rehomed within the state of Pennsylvania only and a potential adopter application is required prior to consideration at GSP Rescue PA .
If you'd like to assist the unwanted German Shorthaired Pointers in Pennsylvania's GSP Rescue program in any way you can but fostering nor adopting are not an option, please consider being part of this worthy endeavor through funding or by volunteering your time in different ways.
Contributions to support the care needed for the German Shorthaired Pointers in our program are tax-deductible as GSP Rescue PA is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization. For adopters, an adoption donation of $200 (not tax-deductible) is required to help offset direct care and placement expenses. We do not encourage 'gifts', nor make or promote 'free to good home' adoptions.
