PLEASE HELP JOEY This small young poodle was picked up as a stray and put in a cage at a local shelter. When the vet passed by, he was sitting up on his back legs begging "help me, help me" with two badly broken front legs. The vet at the shelter was kind enough to xray both of the legs and splint them. She called LSU Vet School and poodle rescue to see what could be done. Both legs need a plate put in which is VERY EXPENSIVE . LSU Vet School can do the surgery (even with a discount, it is over $1,000), and Creole Poodle Rescue is a small rescue with limited funds. Joey (named that since he has to sit up on back legs like a kangaroo) is only about 8 months old and so sweet and deserving to live and walk. Any donation even $5 or $10 to Joey’s legs would help and be appreciated. Thank you so very much for your contribution to Joey’s future life. Because of the kindness of people like you, he was able to have the surgery he needed. Because of you, we were able to have LSU Vet School put plates in both of his front legs so he is able to walk. His prognosis is great. He has to be kept pretty quite for the next few weeks. He is so sweet, sitting on my lap as I write this email. I am to bring him back for a recheck where he will get x-rays and the doctors will make sure everything has healed properly in about six weeks. Update photos loaded 052706!
