Dachshund, Terrier [Mix]

Intake date 10/17/05 from the Brazoria Cty. Animal Shelter as her time was up; she is prox 1 yr. old and weighs prox 14 lbs.; she has been wormed and vaccinated and is on Frontline Plus for flea prevention she will be taken to our Vets tomorrow to be heartworm tested and given a rabies vaccination and we will update more after that; she was tagged a 'runner' which means she obviously runs away easily and therefore another group would not rescue her however she is VERY loving and we believe she just needs lots of attention and love and a home of her own that someone will protect her from getting away from so we recommend a home without small children; her spay appt. is scheduled and paid for at HHS on 12/21/05. UPDATE*** Sissy's checkup revealed she does already have heartworms so we will be treating her on 10/31/05. She is also at my home now since her vet appt. and I have discovered she is housetrained and is snuggling in the bed next to me along with some other small ones. She gets along well with other dogs and is a real lover!! UPDATE*** Her heartworm treatment went well and she needs to be restricted on her physical activity for wks. and go back to the Vet for a recheck in 4 wks.. She can go to her own home prior if you are able to abide by these followup restrictions. Due to her extra medical expenses we are asking for a $200.00 adoption donation.
