More About Scooter

Scooter-Pooter was brought to me from south Texas. Our volunteers found him abandoned at a cemetery with a bad eye, a big sore on his side and lots of fleas. After a visit to our Vets we found out he had glaucoma in his right eye which we have since determined was more than likely caused from an injury which should mean his left eye will probably be fine. His right eye was removed on 10/3/05 and he is recuperating well. The large sore on his side was diagnosed as demodex mange which is not contagious and we are presently treating and is responding well to treatment and the hair is growing back in at that site. His bloodwork also revealed he was anemic which was more than likely caused from a lack of nourishment and excessive fleas. He is prox 1 yr. old and weighs 17 lbs., his prox DOB would be Sept. '04, he is neutered, heartworm negative and has had his rabies vaccination. He is on heartworm prevention and flea prevention and is getting healthier every day. He is the most loving little trouper and through it all he has remained as loving as ever, unlike most people that would maybe experience half of the hardships he has endured in his young life. He is housetrained, sleeps in the bed when I can't say No (LOL!!) and gets along well with many other dogs. If you are interested in meeting Scooter or if you would just like to donate something towards his medical expenses give me a call or email me. If you are interested in adopting Scooter-Pooter call or email and I can send you an application to begin the adoption process. His adoption fee will be $200.00 which is way less than what his expenses have been thus far.

Scooter is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
