More About Zorro

(Zorro and his buddies were abandoned and their story appeared in the August 13, 2005 edition of The News Journal.) Before our owners deserted us, they were very loving parents. That will be evident to you too because we are such friendly, playful cats. That's why we couldn't understand when they left us one night in the dark of a new moon and just unceremoniously dumped us outside. What had we done wrong? All we did was give them all the love and cuddling a cat is able to muster. You can't believe the last month we have had to endure. Maybe the outdoors is fine for some of our feline friends but we had been so spoiled indoors we didn't know how to fend for ourselves. Several of the bigger cats in the neighborhood bullied us and because of that, two of us ended up FIV+, but don't let that scare you, we are still the biggest babies you could ever expect to find. Lucky for us some of the neighbors took pity on us and kept us fed. Then our big break came when one very generous woman contacted the News Journal to tell of our plight. Forgotten Cats came to the rescue and saved us from the outdoors. Now we just need YOU to give us the loving homes we had before. Won't you please consider adopting us so that we can pour out all the love we have stored up inside our furry bodies just waiting to burst forth for our new parents?

Zorro is a beautiful black and white tuxedo male cat. Zorro is declawed and estimated to be between 2 and 3 years old. Zorro is thankful that his buddies have claws and helped keep Zorro safe, after he was tossed outdoors, since he doesn’t have his front claws to use to defend himself. Zorro was already neutered. He has tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids, was given his rabies and distemper vaccinations and was dewormed and given flea preventative. Zorro is a laid back cuddle bug, and he loves to purr. Zorro was moved into foster care on 8/22/05. According to Shannon, who transported Zorro to his foster home, 'Zorro was purring the whole way to Sharon's house... he got out of his carrier... and rolled around a few times... and then literally jumped directly into her windowsill and was dosing off!!!' Won't you open your heart to Zorro and give him the love and safety and security that he once had and deserves to have again?
