More About Daisy
HERE'S WHAT HER ADOPTER HAS TO SAY:
Just wanted to send you a quick update that Daisy is doing FABULOUS! All of her initial nervousness at her new, urban surroundings has almost entirely dissipated, and she's truly a city gal now! Even the squealing brakes of the city bus and sirens of police vehicles no longer phase her. She loves sitting outside on the balcony watching the world go by, and is getting better and better with strangers each day. People always stop me on the street to ask about her, and she seems to enjoy the attention! All pretense I had about not allowing her on the furniture is gone, as I see how happy she is perched on the sofa. She is really such a sweetheart and seems to love nothing more than a good walk and cuddle.
I've attached a photo of Miss Daisy from this past weekend. She accompanied me on a short charity walk around the monuments, and in the photo, she was at the end of the walk and reaching her limit -- she'd flopped herself into a bed of plants for a break.
Thanks again for all the good work that you do!
Daisy's Original Petfinder Listing
Adoption pending!
Daisy, 5 years old, fawn, Shar-peiDaisy is a dear girl, a homebody who is extremely clean housebroken and has excellent indoor manners. She's what we call an easy keeper. Although not a social butterfly, she plays fine with other dogs at the dog park, although she'd much rather spend time with you, sitting in companionable silence while you watch TV, read or listen to music. She'd be a great only dog or companion to a male dog of similar or larger size. On the weakness side, Daisy seems to have seen too many cartoons -- her instinct is to chase them no matter how much the poor kitties tell her they aren't interested, and all the sensitivity training in the world isn't going to get the concept that "cats are people too" through her wrinkly little head.
Daisy has been adopted, but if you are interested in finding a wonderful dog of your own, please visit our Web site at http://www.hedgesvillehounds.com.
Daisy is up-to-date with routine shots.
