More About Kia
07-02-05:
Our special girl Kia got adopted and has been renamed Darla from the little rascals!! She now lives with big brother Ernie & her human mommy Ginger!! Thanks a million Ginger for driving such a long way to get this special girl too!!!
06-06-05:
Kia is still looking for the right home. She is quite bonded to foster mom and we would prefer to place her nearby to make sure it will work out, as sometimes the eskies are a little difficult to rehome. She is fostered in Ypsilanti, MI. She does fine with small dogs and cats as well. We are marking her for no small kids, because she sometimes scares the small kids with her "growly" talk and abrupt bark if she gets excited. She also gets nervous if too many kids come around. With well mannered small children, not afraid of her, she would be fine though. Kia's adoption fee is $225.
021805:
This girl is a beautiful eskie girl who is sweet as they come. She likes the other foster dogs, loves to sleep on the bed, and just wants to be near you. She is a cuddler and loves attention. She is around 2 yrs old. She is also a "talker" and at first you might think she is growling at you, but she's just talking in her own way. She is hesitant at meeting new people but is learning. She is very well behaved in the home AS LONG AS SOMEONE IS HOME ----HOWEVER, foster mom learned the hard way that Kia MUST be crated when you are gone. She will rearrange your entire room or rooms available for you - and believe us, you won't like it - LOL!! She is a great jumper and although she never does it while someone is home, it was evident that she can jump quite high - she cleared the counters, dressers, etc. Seemed to think it was fun to put everything on the floor and mix it up a bit!! Too bad there was no video camera rolling - she probably could have won a prize! Don't take the chance of repeating it though - it's not worth it. She apparently was used to a crate previously, as soon as the door was opened, she ran in. She is very content in the crate. We don't think it is separation anxiety in her case, she doesn't intentionally destroy anything, just a bit of eskie adolescent mischief!!
Kia is
up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
