More About Tasha

Tasha was just recently rescued. For the past year she had been living in a Field in the high desert. There were houses nearby and a very busy street. About 7 months ago she caught the eye of a very caring family on their way to church. From that point on they continued to feed and give her water everyday. They made sure she was cared for and worried about her when they wanted to take a vacation. Although the Dad was the one who dropped off the food and water most of the time, The young teen age daughter was the one who was able to gain her trust the most. Animal control had been contacted about her a few times but were unable to catch her. Our paths crossed one day with Gretchen and Jessie, the Mom and daughter, and so we became involved with her rescue. Later that evening we met with them at the Field and the 4 of us along with the help of 2 neighbor women who had just returned from chemotherapy, we were able to catch her. Although she was very afraid and didn't want anyone to touch her, she would sit and give her paw to a few of her rescuers and wagged her tail most of the time. It's to soon for us to place her up for adoption yet but we hope she will soon be ready to go to her forever home. When she does this little girl will have lots of follow ups. We don't want her to ever feel alone and abandon again. Feel free to contact us about her progress. She was somebodies pet at one time because she had a harness on that she had chewed parts of it off as she grew and it became to tight. She also had a hook on her collar where a tag use to hang from, She is only about a year and a half old. She might be a purebred. *Update* She is coming along nicely. She is still timid but really likes us now and is always trying to shake hands with us. she gets so excited when ever she sees us and just wags her tail like crazy.
