More About Nora

NORA, NOW SHELBY, HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
HERE'S WHAT HER ADOPTER HAS TO SAY:
As you can see Shelby is doing GREAT and is thriving! She is very interested in everything both in and outside and has such a BIG personality. These pictures were taken as part of our 4th of July celebration. We just love her. Please share the news.
Nora, 4 pounds, chihuahua, 7 years Original Petfinder Listing

Nora is a loving short haired Chihuahua that was rescued from abandonment. She has recovered beautifully in foster care and is doing great. She is a thin 4 plus pounds and continues to gain weight with a very strong appetite. She enjoys nothing more than to sleep on someone's lap and loves American Idol but is convinced it is all rigged. Her temperament is wonderful and very seldom makes noise. She greets her foster at the door and wags her tail constantly.

With her background (abandoned and possibly mistreated for a short period of time) and thin frame we would recommend a family with no kids and few stairs. She is 7 years old (49 in dog years) but she still gets carded. Which always makes her feel good. She is still sweet regardless of her poor treatment in the past, but has lost some teeth due to it - she needs soft food and loves cheese(but don't we all!) House training is a touchy subject, we believe that in a new home with some work she will learn, but in her foster home when they got her she was close to death, and they weren't about to try and correct her in her condition, she deserved a little "free" time. Love, soft food, and a little patience with tiny pee spots and she will be an awesome pet to watch the next season of Idol with.

Nora has been adopted, but if you are interested in finding a wonderful dog of your own, please visit our Web site at http://www.hedgesvillehounds.com.

Nora is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
