Starling has been adopted! Here's what her adopter has to say!

Thought you might like a new picture of Starling (Phoenix) She is a loveand has now grown to 40+lbs and still wants to be a lap dog now that it is getting chilly again. She is such a love that when she goes to the vet everyone is excited to see her and she obiges with kisses all around. She now has her own bed as the adults where running out of room she has gotten to be such a big girl. She loves people and thinks every dog is a new playmate and of course they want to play! We think she may soon need a "pet" of her own! She walks well on a leash and has mastered most basic commands sit lay down stay but her humans have not been as good students as she has. She is still very playful and thinks my job in life is to throw tennis balls for her to catch. Garth thinks she would make a great agility competition dog they way she races around the yard using trees as pylons! No longer afraid of the rain she LOVES water baths are a treat and her favorite thing is to play in the stream of water from the hose she jumps in to the water and loves it when you squirt her belly. If there is a puddle in the yard she'll find it and roll in it!

Here's her original description.

Starling is a member of the Nestlings, a wonderful litter of 10 puppies raised by a particularly loving and single-minded canine mother who is also on our website, Melanie.

Starling resembles her mother in coloring and conformation - she is leggy and slender. Like all of her litter mates, she is responsive, bright and outgoing. Her demeanor reflects the love and devotion she has always know from her determined mom, and now from her caring foster mom.

A true country Heinz 57 puppy, Starling appears to have some Lab and possibly Pointer characteristics physically, although in a smaller and lighter frame. Suffice it to say that we are only able to make educated guesses; Starling is a wonderful, scrappy little mixed breed puppy and will be a wonderful, loving one of a kind mutt. She has a short coat and drop ears. Starling and all of her fellow nestlings delight in being cuddled and held. She is extremely affectionate and trusting. She is one of the smallest in her litter, and is not expected to exceed 40 pounds when fully grown.
