More About Paul
HERE'S WHAT HIS ADOPTER HAS TO SAY:
Paul is a handsome man. He loves all the girls, but is still a bit distant with Mac, my 13 year old shep/mix. No fights for a long time, though. He also does not like my husband, Dick, who is 83, walks very slowly, and is not in tune with living things at this moment, or ever. Anyway, Paul does not like him and really shows it with his curled lip and white teeth. I guess, I will have to teach Paul to like Dick, ha. ha.
Paul has filled out and his coat is black and sleek. He must be about 80 pounds, now. Paul is an excellent protector of our house, but still likes the people who come to visit, except you know who.
I cannot say enough about my two West Virginia beauties who came to me just for a short stay, but, who quickly became part of my family to my delight. Thank you Hedgesville Hounds for making my life more worthwhile.
.Paulie's Original Petfinder Listing
Paul was welcomed into the Hedgesville Hounds after his family moved and forgot to bring him. We are very happy to have him, and are taking pains to reassure a slightly bewildered dog that he has not done anything wrong, nor misplaced his own humans.
Paul wants more than anything a home in which he can find an important role, and more significantly, give his bond of loyalty and love to his own human(s). He is a dear, responsive, and sensitive fellow with a sad and imploring expression.
Paul has a lovely coat and the look of a pure black Lab, although we have listed him as a Lab mix. His eyes are especially beautiful, a rich and soft brown, and his eye contact is direct, open and warm.
We are piecing together a profile for Paul as best we can from the clues he is trying very hard to give us. There is an earnest gravity to Paul, and a hopefulness. He wants very badly to make friends and he seems to have the capacity for a deep and devoted bond. We would like to see Paul find a home where he could not feel the weight of the world on his shoulders, and where he could be babied and petted and otherwise be allowed to relax, knowing that he will always have someplace warm to sleep and plenty of food. We also would like to place him in an adult household, since otherwise such a responsible dog would forever be worrying about the family's children, and could perhaps become over-protective.
We are watching as from a somewhat hurt and definitely thin exterior, a happy, playful and carefree dog yearning to breathe free has emerged. We have already taken care of all his veterinary needs and he is in a foster home, but he is need of the "love and groceries" regimen that only a real home can provide.
Paulie has been adopted, but if you are interested in finding a wonderful dog of your own, please visit our Web site at http://www.hedgesvillehounds.com.
Paul is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
