Jasper is truly a fine fellow. Quiet, gentle and gentlemanly, there is a sweetness in his amber eyes, and a hint of melancholy. His tail has an improbable corkscrew at the end; although his head and facial features all suggest a Chihuahua, we believe that he is probably a mix.
His little legs are sturdy, his eye contact direct, open, and warm, and his chief delight in life is sitting in a lap. His demeanor is calm, his funny little "pig-tail" wags constantly, and he has a very hopeful and earnest expression on his face. He comes when called, and is one of the nicest guys we've ever met.
His youth and sweetness contain a wistful quality, as if Jasper is a little uncertain about whether he is actually lovable. This meekness, combined with his humble good looks, and his absolute wanton joy at being kissed and held, make Jasper quite a heart-breaker.
Jasper gets along quite well with other dogs as well as cats. He would love to find a permanent and bonded relationship with a human(s) who might recognize the immense heart and fidelity that is offered in a tiny package.
