More About Martin

Long bodied + big boned = one big boy! Martin is a 6 year old, white shorthair with several solid gray spots.

Loves play time and cat toys. Enjoys the feather chaser, laser light chasing, kitty balls, shoestring chases, catnip, hanging out on the cat tree, and world watching through the window. A curious fellow, yet cautious and mannerly. He does not jump up on counters or tables; he does enjoy climbing the cat condo tree. He does not scratch furniture; he does use the cat tree scratching post. He is accustomed to nail trims and enjoys being brushed.

Martin is litter box trained, neutered, dewormed, and Frontlined for flea preventative. He has clean ears, is vaccinated, and rabies innoculated. He tested Negative for both FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline AIDS).

Martin is socialized with other cats, as well as dogs that are cat-friendly. Given his adult age, he would adjust best going into an adoptive home as either the only cat or with a kitten. With exception of his playtime, he can be cautious of startling noises and activities, so he would be more comfortable in a home without young children. He would do okay with visiting children.

At the age of 1 and 2 years, Martin endured urinary tract crystals. Antibiotics cleared it right up. He has since been normal and healthy, with no additional crystals in the past 4 years.

Martin would prefer a calm, stable, and loving environment that would still nurture his playful nature. He will most definitely be your devoted friend for life.
