Honey is a 13 year old girl but is very spry for her age - she gets around great and acts more like our 8 or 9 yr old dogs. She lost quite a few teeth during her dental & had a HUGE abscess that came clear through her cheek! But it's all healed up now. She still eats dry food fine. She is crate trained but does not care for a crate. She will cry when put in. She was used as a breed dog for years until she was rescued at 12 yrs of age & is AKC registered. She is now spayed & just wants a nice quiet place with a lot of well deserved pampering for the rest of her retirement years. She would prefer a family that's not too active or too noisy, but someone that just wants a mellow little lap dog. She took a long time to learn to trust and still backs up and barks at most other people, so she'll probably never be real outgoing as she gets nervous. She doesn't play with other dogs, but does like to play in the bed covers with her human & will get rather playful if you make the effort.
