More About Zucker

Zucker means "sugar" in German, and I am a sweet German doggie! I was found stray up in the North Georgia mountains. Someone felt sorry for me and picked me up and took me to a vet. The vet found DREAM and now I am safe in a foster home. My foster mommy says I am housebroken and get along with kids and other dogs. I don't really play with other dogs but I do like to cuddle up to them when I'm cold. I'm nervous around new people and new dogs and take a little while to warm up to them. Someone probably wasn't very nice ot me in my old life. But once I do warm up to my people then I really live up to my name. I love to have my tummy rubbed and afterwards I like to give a reward of lots of kisses! I have a favorite stuffed toy, a gorilla, and I just love to play with it and with my foster mom! I also love to snuggle--won't you please give me a loving home? All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees. You can also see DREAM's blog, The Rescue Life, at www.dreamdachshundrescue.wordpress.com, and follow us on twitter. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta/North Georgia area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of the metro-Atlanta area. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachsies' back. Home without children (< 5 yrs old)

Zucker is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
