More About Rowan

Rowan is a 4 yr. old red male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. Albuquerque Animal Control asked DRNM to take him into rescue due to a tumor in his mouth. He was biopsied and happily found to have a condition called epulus (sp?) which is NOT cancerous, but rather just as it appears, extra gum tissue growth. Some of the growth was removed along with one tooth and Rowan seems not to know there is or ever was a problem.

Rowan is a sweet, athletic, exuberant young lad that is friendly and playful with dogs he meets, but a little too rough with cats. He barks at other cars while riding in a car but otherwise has a delightful smart personality and loves people. Rowan is being fostered in Albuquerque with a female and male Doberman. He takes correction from the female Doberman in his foster home, but takes a more competitive attitude with the male and it has become obvious that bones and toys can only be out when supervision is provided. Rowan would do best with another female or as an only dog.

Rowan is healthy and shiny now and ready for an active loving forever home. e-mail Don at dondoberman@gmail.com or call 505-255-9580 for more information on Rowan. Adoption application and adoption fee apply.
