Turns out that the director was on the way to work and on Rt 32, 1/2 on 1/2 off the road was the dead carcass of a black cat. The director turned her car around to remove in dead animal. Well, that is when she spotted a little black, terrified bundle hunkered under the dead mom's hip. God only knows how long and how many cars passed this little girl.
The kitten is now with us, bony, scared, but recovering nicely. Won't you help us name her and if you have room, can you find it in your heart to adopt her into a forever situation?
