This little guy has a sad story but with a happy ending. He was abandoned by owners a few months ago and ended up at animal control. After a while he was adopted from there...but the very next day appeared in the shelter area shivering and frightened with serious injuries...a badly broken front leg and facial and mouth wounds. No one knows how this came to be. He received immediate medical attention and was taken into a loving foster home by one of the shelter volunteers. His leg was repaired with a plate and 7 screws and his wounds are healing. He is gaining confidence every day and after his leg heals sufficiently, he will be available for adoption to a carefully selected home. We do not want this dear dog to ever have to suffer again at the hands of man.
Sunny's expenses were born by the Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society...they were over $1400. LAWS is asking for help with Sunny's finances so that there will be funds to help the next dog in need...sadly we know that there will be one.
