More About Hallie FIV POS
Hallie's story: This last Halloween, Hallie appeared at a barn in St. Charles County. At first the resident dogs chased her away, but she came back later. She was very hungry. Hallie was left in the barn where she would have shelter, food and water and some protection from the outdoors. The hope was, if she was a neighborhood cat, she would find her way back home.
Hallie was not seen until the next evening. She came back into the barn and seemed very hungry once again. The resident barn cat appeared at that point, and chased and attacked Hallie several times. Hallie ran away from the barn cat, but came back to the barn half an hour later still hungry, and was bleeding, apparently from the scuffles from the barn cat. Since no one wanted her to have another encounter with the barn cat, and it appeared Hallie was not wise about the outdoors, her present foster parents decided to take her home.
The next day, her foster mom took her to the vet. She has no microchip and no one seems to be looking for her. Fortunately, her wounds were minor and were already healing. She was a model patient. However, she did test positive for FIV. She is in good health and totally asymptomatic.
Because Hallie is such a sweet girl, her foster parents had planned to keep her if her former owner could not be found. But since her foster parents already have a cat who is FIV negative, they will not be able to put Hallie with their cat, so that is why she is available for adoption.
Hallie would be perfect for someone wanting a single cat, or a person with a FIV positive cat looking for a companion. Hallie likes her petting time. She purrs when you pet her and often just when you talk to her. Hallie is a relatively quiet cat and calm cat and seems happy to be inside and have someone that cares about her. She greets you when you come home. When you talk to her, she will answer you. Hallie likes the companionship of both men and women.
Hallie FIV POS is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
