More About Alby

Alby is a mixed breed medium size young male adult. He was an owner surrender at one of the DFW area shelters because the owner couldn't take care of him anymore. The Animal Control Officers fell in love with this boy and begged for a rescue to take him before he had to be killed. He's as large as he'll get and weighs in at 47 pounds.

Alby's a happy dog who loves to run and play and also enjoys personal attention and being petted. He gets along with the other animals in his foster home and is learning basic commands and how to walk nicely on a leash. He is crate trained and potty trained. He does have some wander lust if left unattended in the yard and the foster family has had to reinforce the ground level security of their fencing so he can't find a way to "scroonch" under and meet the neighbors.

Alby is up to date on all required vaccinations, is heart worm negative and on preventative, is neutered and microchipped.

We believe Alby will make a great companion for an active family or someone who takes daily walks or runs. He desires to be part of a loving family and participate in their life.

Alby's adoption fee is $250.00.

If you believe that your home would be a wonderful new forever place for this Alby, please email Texas Tailwaggers at txtailwaggers@aol.com so that we may send you an application to complete and return to us.

We require anyone adopting one of our dogs to complete an adoption contract which includes a home visit by one of our volunteers.

OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees vary from $180 to $350 depending on each dog's medical needs, vet care and other expenses while in our program. This may include spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, micro chip, heartworm test (and treatment if necessary), deworming , plus all food, hw prevention, flea/tick meds, and other supplies needed in foster care till adopted.

Your adoption fee helps save homeless dogs and place them in new loving homes. We are a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers and funded by your contributions.

All new dogs in our program get to visit our veterinarian for complete checkups, required immunizations, heart worm tests/treatments, spaying or neutering (if necessary), and any medications prescribed by our veterinarian. Adoption fees cover vet costs and pay for food, care, and "lodging" while staying with us.
