More About Sweetie Pie

SWEETIE PIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! LOOK AT OUR HOME PAGE FOR MORE INFO AND PHOTOS! Poor little 8 week old Sweetie came to us the day after Halloween, when she was burned with a chemical substance by one or more cruel people. It appears that the attackers painted a devil's face on her with the acid-like substance.

Our veterinarian is pleased at Sweetie's progress and we do not expect any chronic health or behavioral problems resulting from her attack. She may need a surgical procedure when she is about one year old to remove facial scar tissue, but please note that PSPP will pay for those medical bills as a result of generosity from people outraged by her attack.

Sweetie has pretty long black hair and appears to be a Persian mix. In terms of her personality, this is a very friendly and brave cat! Although she still has somje discomfort, she purrs whenever we pet her. She does get a little stressed in unfamiliar situations and with strangers, but as soon as she learns to trust you she is extremely affectionate.

Potential adopters need to be aware that Sweetie will always show facial scars resulting from her abuse, and her hair in the burned area will most likely never grow back..

Please note that we have createde "Sweetie's Fund" in honor of this sweet kitty. Although at this time we have received enough donations to help with Sweetie's medical care, we will be using the remaining funds to help other animals who are victimized by abuse and/or neglect.

In addition to treatment for her burns and prior to adoption, Sweetie has been tested for feline leukemia and feine AIDS, has received her first set of vaccinationjs, has been provided parasite medication, and will be microchipped.

If you are interested in making a donation to "Sweetie's Fund" and/or to contribute to the reward fund, please refer to the Paypal option on our home page or send your check to our mailing address. Be sure to indicate the purpose of your contribution.

If you are interested in learning more about Sweetie and/or to request an adoption application, please call Deborah (foster mom) at 404 414 1282 7 or email her at dsmithcallahan@gmail.com.
