More About ELLIE

Ellie

This beautiful blue Weimaraner puppy is very well adjusted, considering her life before rescue. In her previous location, she was in a 4’x6’ pen, on a 4’ chain. She had very little attention, and nearly hanged herself twice trying to escape the pen.

Ellie has been in her foster home for a few weeks while being fully vetted and spayed. She has been taught to obey required commands for acceptable behavior. She is very smart, learning by her second day in foster to sit and wait for her food to be put down. She is pretty good about sitting at the door to be leashed before going out.

Since she is just ten months old, this little girl needs a home that is experienced and patient. She needs consistent training and reinforcement of good behaviors already learned. She is not destructive, but is incredibly energetic. A very brisk 2 mile walk does not tire her!! Ellie will need daily extensive exercise…putting her in the yard to play will NOT get it done!

This puppy is beautiful, extremely sweet, playful like a kitten, with a little bit of a dominant streak. (New family will have to know how to handle that!) The love and affection from Ellie will be worth the investment of time up front to help her grow into a fabulous adult companion Weimaraner and family member.

As with all Vizslas & Weimaraners, Ellie needs to be a house dog, needs to have lots of time with her family, and needs a securely FENCED YARD. We do not recommend an electronic fence for our Vizslas or Weims, they will run right through an electronic fence!!

Please call 770-823-3971 for an application, and for a complete profile on Ellie. Only Atlanta area residents should apply.

Home without children (< 5 yrs old)

ELLIE is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
