More About Marley

Marley is a 5 month old male Australian Shepherd mix. Marley was rescued from a home where he spent all his time sleeping on the front porch. He was finally rescued by the neighbors. He is presently living in a foster home with three adults and several dogs of different sizes and breeds. At first he was quite nervous and scared but has now settled in and is doing very well. He is learning his house manners and house training by following all the other dogs in and out of the house. Marley is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard for his safety and exercise. He would also do well with another dog companion to keep him from getting bored and destructive. Australian Shepherds need a job to keep them out of trouble so he would be a great candidate for agility, herding, or obedience trials. Marley is not a barker and is starting to pick up on his basic commands. Marley will require more training from his new family. He will need a family that has lots of spare time to exercise him daily and provide the required training to make him an enjoyable addition to the family. Marley is not to be considered an outdoor dog only. He wants to be an indoor/outdoor dog and a member of the family and be indoors with them when they are home and when the weather if bad outdoors. Marley has not been neutered yet but will soon be. He is almost house trained, but has awhile to go and will need additional training when he goes to his new "forever" home. If you would like to learn more about Marley, please give Best Friends of Baker a call at 541-519-7387.

Marley is up-to-date with routine shots and house trained.
