More About Boot

ADOPTION PENDING!

Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering dogs like Boot please contact us at luckydoganimalrescue@gmail.com!

Name: Boot

Breed: Labrador Retriever / Pointer mix puppy

Approximate Age: 5 weeks now (10/19)

Approximate Weight:  5 lbs now -- likely large (40-60 lbs) fully grown

Currently Living at: Foster Care in South Carolina (originally in a high-kill shelter)

**please note, this pup is not available for viewing in the DC area. It will be brought to the DC area on/around November 6, 2009 once it is old enough to travel and has received age appropriate vet care. We are currently accepting applications to be prescreened for immediate adoption when they arrive.

Boot is an adorable black and white labrador retriever / pointer mix puppy. He is a happy and fat little boy. He is currently 5 weeks and 5 lbs but will likely grow into a large sized dog --- likely between 40-60 lbs fully grown. At this young age, we can't estimate any more than that!

His momma was dumped into a rural, poor, high-kill shelter in South Carolina. A kind samaritan took Boot and his three siblings into the safety of foster care. They were originally bottle fed but are now being transitioned to dog food.

Boot is young enough to be taught to live with dogs, cats, kids and any other situation -- bottomline, pups are super adaptable at this young age. Because Boot will still be a brand-new-pup when he is adopted, Boot will be adopted to a home where someone is home to let him out every 3 hours. Lunch time stop homes are not enough for this precious little pup.

Like most puppies, Boot will need to work on his housetraining. Boot will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!

He will need to be neutered by 3/1/2010 as required by Lucky Dog's adoption contract.

The adoption fee for this dog is $325, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations.
