More About Ace
Please meet a charming dog we call Ace. He was rescued after we received contact of an injured dog. We believe that Ace was chained, with a some type of cable and got the chain/cable wrapped around both hind legs. Unable to stand or walk, Ace fought the cable until skin from both legs was removed to the bone. Ace was vetted and placed on medication to keep him comfortable in hopes that these injuries would begin to heal. Sadly, one leg was so damaged it continued to swell and not respond to medication. Ace was unable to place any weight on this limb and it was obvious he was uncomfortable despite our interventions. In working with his vetting staff, the decision was made that the limb would be removed and hopefully the other leg will heal.
The surgery went well, and Ace is now resting at our facility.
Every time we look at Ace we are reminded of the 70's song - These Eyes. To be so injured and in pain, his eyes always meet yours with nothing but love, despite all his frail body has endured.
Noah's Arc stands on the belief that Ace is strong in spirit and determination, and with love and encouragement he can and will not only recover, but thrive above others whom are not maimed. Noah's Arc volunteers will be there to help him walk and then we will help him run.
Ace will need a loving home in a few months - don't forget about These Eyes!
Ace is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
