English Cocker Spaniel

My name is Solstice … I am a beautiful 4-5 year old reddish-buff Cocker Spaniel. I appear to have quite a lot of English Cocker in my line, possibly some American Cocker, too. Just as I am named for the astronomical phenomenon during which the Sun appears to orbit around the Earth, my life is sure to orbit around you. I am a soulful dog, both loyal and true. After all the love I dedicated to my last family, I have no explanation for why they surrendered me to the Manhattan pound. As in the case of all unanswered questions, somewhere in the cosmos lies the truth, at least for now beyond our reach. I am a great believer in the ethereal – all those things we cannot see, smell, hear or touch but recognize as truth by pure instinct. The moment we meet, I will know you are my owner, just as you will know that I have always been your dog. I have been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and have tested negative for heartworm. I will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar.
