More About Buddy

BUDDY- smooth, red dachshund; 6 yrs,14lbs. neutered male; non destructive, housebroken, good with kids,. not good with cats; as for dog company, please read below. Should be introduced slowly to people company. He is a wonderful, sweet, loving and loyal dog. He is also very good with young children. He is EXTREMELY smart, has loads of energy, and is in excellent health. He is definitely an alpha male though, the attention needs to be on him! Buddy would do best in a one-dog or at the least a one-dachshund environment. With some training and re-training, he has potential to be something very special. He would excel in earth trials and other physical activities as well, if encouraged. He has all of the typical breed traits. Unfortunately the owners do not have the time to train/re-train him with socialization, nor the time to utilize his abilities and personality to it’s fullest. It has been difficult since their kids have been born, it really changed things and he has regressed. He needs time and attention. He gets the love, that is for sure BUT he needs the rest to really live his life to the fullest. Buddy says "I am looking for a new home where I can be “the man”. I am a loyal and loving companion, and the sweetest little pooch who loves to snuggle and give lots of kisses to my humans. I like my independence though, and I would do best in a one-dog home where I can be the center of the animal attention. I am great with kids though, so that won’t be a problem. I have lots of energy, and I am crazy smart! I love walks and exercise, and I can learn tricks and would LOVE to do some earth trials if you had time to work with me. I am in perfect health, my weight is just right, and as long as you keep me on my special food I won’t get itchy! I love my mommy and daddy and my brother, but I need a lot more attention since those babies came around. I know they love me too and want what is best for me, so please adopt me and let’s start our new life together!"
