More About Sam

Meet Sam! Sam was probably born near the end of July 2009.

On October 1st WAIF along with The French Quarter Pet Asylum and the generous aid of SAF managed to save 12 kittens and 2 mommas (that were dumped there by uncaring owners) from a small, Parish animal pound that is not equipped to do adoptions. That means that animals who are surrendered by their owners there have almost no chance of being saved. All of the cats and kittens were scheduled to be euthanized. These loving and gorgeous kittens and moms need homes now. The first batch of kittens are ready to go. They have all been vetted, combo tested, spayed/neutered, given their first set of shots and microchipped. They are sweet and lovely and now only need someone to love them. Please come into the F.Q. Pet Asylum (address below) so see some of the kittens.

All Sam needs now is a home and human of his own. Are you that person? I hope so.

To adopt a kitten please contact French Quarter Pet Asylum 513 Dumaine St. • New Orleans, LA 504-302-9845

The French Quarter Pet Asylum has been working with local rescuers (including WAIF) to help adopt out rescued, abandoned, abused and orphaned kittens. All kittens are health checked and spayed/neutered before they are adopted out.

These are deserving animals and the French Quarter Pet Asylum/Animal Asylum is an even more deserving shop. If you love animals then the FQ Pet Asylum is the place to shop.

The FQ Pet Asylum is very rescue and welfare minded. They spend their time, resources, store and home space to foster kittens and adopt them out. Please note they ADOPT out these kittens. They do not SELL them. There is a big difference. You cannot go into the Pet Asylum, point to a kitten, plunk money on the counter and walk out with the kitten of your choice like at most other petstores. You have to be interviewed and prove that you are a responsible, caring and committed home to get one of these kittens. It's actually a painless procedure to adopt and it makes a major difference in the animal overpopulation problem. By not buying purposely bred animals you are not encouraging the petstores and breeders to create more animals to take their places. The French Quarter Pet Asylum does not sell any animals. They only sell high quality food, supplies and toys. They are well deserving of your business and are exactly what a pet store should be. Please go visit them and think about adopting one of these lovely kittens.
