More About Apple

Apple has been at the shelter too long and is running out of time. The saddest is that she is the last one of a little of 6. All her little brothers and sisters have been adopted. She is so sad and lonely and we are worried about her. How could an adorable puppy like this lose her life so young because no body wants her? There has to be someone out there who will come for Apple before its too late. She is sooooo cute and friendly!

All applications for Pit Bull type dogs in our program must be approved by Missouri Pit Bulb Rescue. The organization provides breed education prior to adoption. If you are interested to adopt this dog, please fill out the On-Line Application, then come visit the dog at the shelter.

We don't know the background of many of the dogs that come to the shelter. We can only "guesstimate" the breed and age of those dogs. Size is also subjective according to individuals. Here's a chart on how we base our assessments:

Puppy: under 6 months old - Young: 6 to 12 months old. - Young adult: 12 months to 3 years old. Adult: 3 to 10 years old. Senior: 10 years

Small: Under 25 Lbs - Medium: 25 lbs to 60 lbs - Large: 60 lbs to 100 lbs - Xtra Large: 100 lbs

Our listings are updated DAILY. While we are not able to take pictures of all the companion animals that are at the shelter, we remove pets that are no longer available for adoption as soon as possible and usually within a few hours.

We have many more pets for adoption at the shelter and new animals arrive on a daily basis. Not all pets are featured in Pet Finder. To see all animals at the shelter, please visit our facility. 4400 Raytown Rd, KCMO, 64129. See Web Site for hours.
