More About Aaron Needs Help!

This sweet boy was named after the nice animal control officer from Southgate Animal Control that called us for help.

Aaron is a 2-year-old Siberian Husky that was hit by a car on Monday, September 28. His front leg is broken (radius and ulna bones), as you can see in the x-ray. It's obvious that Aaron hasn't had very good care. The tips of his ears are raw from fly bites and he needs to be groomed, which will have to wait until after his leg heals.

Aaron is scheduled for surgery with an orthopaedic surgeon on Wednesday, October 7th. We've already paid $180 at the vet for exam, x-rays, etc. The estimate for the repair of his leg (bone plates are required) is $2,023.

We would appreciate donations to help with Aaron's medical bills. Your donation, regardless of size, is always very gratefully accepted.

Click on the "Donation" button below to make a donation via PayPal -- it's safe, it's easy, it's secure! Closer to Home Animal Advocates is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation and your donations are tax deductible!

you can mail your donation to:

P.O. Box 2262
Belleville, MI 48112
All donations are used strictly for the care of the dogs and include vaccinations, treatment for parasites, and spay/neuter surgery. In addition, they often come into rescue with kennel cough, respiratory infections, malnutrition or other conditions associated with abuse, neglect, or life as a stray. Your donation, regardless of size, is always very gratefully accepted. Not one penny will EVER go to administrative or other frivolous costs. Every cent which comes into the rescue is devoted solely to the care of the dogs awaiting their forever homes.
